Kendo-Ish Animated Guy

I recently upgraded my Spine to a pro edition, and so it meant studying the new things I can try out, with the "mesh" effect being the most notable edition. So, I wanted to make a more natural human like body. So, I imagined a more futuristic Kendo warrior.

I made the animation in Spine, while sketching the design in Photoshop. But, I made all the parts on illustrator.

For the time being, it's just a simple walk cycle. I do plan on adding a few more animations.

The animation I have thought up is the walk cycle. It was enjoyable making the sort of "Cloth effect" for the bottom part of the body. Though, I didn't really bother making a loop, Mostly because it seemed a lot more interesting to see it actually move.

The sketches that come with the character. In the end, I decided to take some inspiration from simpler sources.

The parts I used that I made in illustrator. I thought to myself that the legs wouldn't be as relevant, mostly because they're going to be covered up by the "Skirt". I also made some feet, but, I found it looked more interesting if there weren't any.
